Magical Twix Raw Bars

Everytime I make these, I make double the recipe. My best friend always gets half of the batch because she loves them just as much as I do! They are just so good! I stash them away in the freezer downstairs so that I’m the only one who knows where they are. But sometimes my husband will make the trek to the basement to get one if he knows I’ve made them!!

Incredibly delicious and full of chocolate and caramel-like flavours, these bars will be an instant hit in your home!

Magical Twix Raw bars Directions:

1. Toast your hazelnuts on low for 15 minutes for 350F. Let them cool and rub off the peels. Alternatively you can purchase hazelnut meal.

2. Pulse your hazelnuts in a food processor until it resembles tiny crumbs

3. Place the rest of your ingredients for the shortbread inside the food processor with the hazelnuts and pulse until combined.

4. Press into a square container lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer until you are ready with your caramel

5. Place all your ingredients for the caramel in the cleaned food processor until it resembles gooey caramel.

6. With wet hands, press the caramel onto the shortbread (the wet hands make it easier to press and won’t stick to your fingers

7. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight. When ready, cut into bars using a sharp knife.

8. Melt chocolate in a double boiler and dip your bars! Enjoy!

  • ½ cup Coconut Shreds (Unsweetened)
  • ½ cup Hazelnut Meal
  • 1 Cup Almond Meal
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Maple Syrup

Ingredients Caramel:

  • 12 Soaked Dates, Pitted
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbsp Peanuts
